This is a question which doesn’t have successful break through answer yet if it is evaluated by outcomes… NewWell has done own part in this development by tailoring mobile services which lets users to share physical and location data live. In addition, users are let to create own groups (public or private) in which to do live tracking. Everything is tied together by physical activity scores. Thus, no matter what you do, system is all the time giving you scores based on your activity (movements) or your heart rate. Mobile application also has a fun realtime game for whole family to play together…
Standard 2h Move Battle is one example how to use NewWell system. It has now more than 200 members in Movescount (Suunto) group: http://www.movescount.com/groups/group2139-RealtimeEvents
Basics: Mobile application calculates individually calibrated Body Charge scores (TRIMP). The higher the momentary training zone is, the faster you will get scores. Everyone has same opportunity to win since the HR method is individually calibrated and even the gender noticed :-)
Rules: You’ll need RTE application (iPhone, Windows, Android) - Battles can be done whenever you want! - You can turn on the RTE application few mins earlier (“Start Tracking”) - Every sport is allowed - Remember to encourage others in live map chat - You can see each others’ scores in LIVE!
Let the others know that you are participating and make sure that you have an official supervisor checking the Move and encouraging you during the Move! :-) Every Move definitely counts :-)
NewWell challenges you to free your mind and get people moving whatever new ideas comes in to your mind. We are glad if our live services are helping you to create now online games. Let us know if you have new ideas and let’s move!

Ultimate Vasaloppet Challenge
is a global contest for everyone interested in challenging himself/herself. The participation is free of charge for all Vasaloppet skiers and Marathon Skier subscribers. Others can join in by downloading the Marathon Skier phone application for a nominal fee. The contest starts when Vasaloppet takes off at 8 am on Sunday March 2, 2014. The person of reference is Teemu Virtanen (current World Record holder of 24 h Nordic Skiing) whose target time is 4-4.5 hours. When Teemu crosses the finish line, the race is over. You can join the fun anywhere in the world by doing any physical activity during the aforementioned timeline. You collect personally calibrated points based on your individual heartrate scale (rest pulse & max pulse) – the fastest and strongest person isn’t necessarily the winner here! The attitude counts the most! In order to participate in this unique worldwide contest you need a smart phone (onto which you should download the Marathon Skier application) and a ”smartBT” heart rate belt. You can also purchase a new HeartRateCell multi-functional exercise device (beginners version or elite Pro PoD version). You can follow the contest live online and the links can be found at www.marathonskier.com, www.finlandiahiihti.fi and www.vasaloppet.se.

Lots of new HW products are published lately in the field of health and wellness. In the CES we saw many smartwatches again which did not really rock the world. We also have seen few new wristbands measuring daily activity as Polar loop. It is following the Nike fuel band’s steps. Real new products comes from biosensors that are offering important data in a new way as more modern blood glucose sensor for continuous measurements.
All of these new products are still serving individual users and the key element in the future will be how to offer this important data automatically to peer support groups. Thus, it is not a surprise that real-time monitoring of the biosensors is being predicted to be huge business in the near future. This lack of live data services in the wellness sector is now raised to be very hot topic.
During the year 2014 NewWell ltd hopes that our tailored services exactly for these purposes will be found by many developers. We are able to offer high level cloud and mobile services that can easily be modified for different use. Our “demo” products are now offering live tracking of both location and heart rate data. We can easily add biosensors to these services and make e.g. mobile phone alarms to peer support group if some parameters are outside the wanted range.
